Derivatives of Trigonometric Functions

Derivatives of Trigonometric Functions

ddx(sin x) = cos xddx(cos x) = -sin xddx(tan x) = sec2 xddx(csc x) = -csc x cot xddx(sec x) = sec x tan x ddx(cot x) = -csc2 x

The derivatives of the trigonometric functions are on the table. Note that the derivatives for csc, sec, and cot can all be obtained using the Product Rule in chapter 3.2. Remember, anything that starts with "co-" has a negative derivative.
